Elderberry Syrup

Elderberry syrup is known as a powerful cold preventative and remedy.


6 cups water

3 cups elderberry

Half a Ginger cubed

2 cinamon sticks

1/3 cup cloves

6 star anise

Orange sliced

1 1/2 cup raw local honey


Combine berries, herbs, and orange with cold water in pot and bring to a boil.


Reduce heat and allow herbs to simmer 45 minutes.


Remove from heat and let steep 1 1/2hour.

Strain berries and herbs using a cheese cloth and a strainer.


Add honey mix well until honey is fully incorporated.


Bottle in sterilized glass and store in the refrigerator.
